This unique barn was built as a place to raise chickens, goats, and serve as an outdoor kitchen to process veggies. The upstairs is a working hayloft.
The construction is post timber framed with poplar timbers logged and milled from trees adjacent to the site. The poplar paneling in the canning kitchen came from Madeline Island. The rest of the frame was built from wood that was locally harvested from a mill in Herbster. It is approximately 1000square feet.
